Dr. Chun
Dr. Chun was born in South Korea but grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She achieved her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and worked at Bluepearl Pet Hospital in Northfield, Illinois as a veterinary assistant in various departments igniting her passion for the veterinary field.
She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Ross University in St. Kitts and Nevis, then completed her clinical year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018. She practiced in Illinois as a general practitioner before moving to Louisiana in 2020 for a small animal rotating internship at Louisiana State University. She returned to Illinois to spend time with her family before moving to California in 2022.
She enjoys many aspects of small animal medicine but developed special interests in ophthalmology, internal medicine, emergency, general surgery, and preventative medicine.
Dr. Chun has one dog, Taco, who shares her home in California, and one cat, Barley, who resides in Illinois with her family. During her free time, she loves going on food adventures, reading, hiking, organizing, and spending time with her family, both in Illinois and California.
